Book Blogger Hop·Self Titled

About the Book Blogger Hop by Coffee Adicted Writer

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, I relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week’s question:.

If you were to write your own autobiography, what would the title be?

…I have never actually thought about that, but I’m picking:

This week I hopped to:

Cande from Latinx Magic BK shares with us all the queer novellas she’s been reading on her Novellas A Ton post. These are all great recommendations if you are looking for something short and sweet. You should also definitely follow her on twitter, you get gems like the One Day at a Time brlub Latinx Books

Kerri the Book Belle also has great recs on the July TBR she’s made for the 30 day book challenge. Although she’s like me and makes TBRs that will most likely forgotten for whatever else catches my eye… make sure to see this blog! it has really pretty graphics

WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

It’s basically to check in, see what I’m reading at real-time.

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?

  • What did you recently finish reading?

  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Friday Reads

Friday reads was invented by The Candid cover, It’s a book meme that mixes two already existing:

  • Book Beginnings is a book meme hosted by Rose City Reader where participants share the first sentence (or so) of the book, along with initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.
  • The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda’s Voice, and the rules are quite simple: Grab a book, any book, and turn to page 56 or 56% in your e-reader. Find any non-spoilery sentence(s) and post.

My Current read

42747498I’m actually almost done with this book so expect a full review some time in the future!

Book Beginnings

Ask me to spin the finest yarn or thread, and I can do it faster than any man– even with my eyes closed. Yet ask me to tell a lie, and I will stumble and falter to think of one.

I immediately trust her and want her to be happy. Natural honesty is just so precious to me, I hope nothing bad happens ever but I’m not holding my breath….

The Friday 56

“I saw how protective [he] is of you. Yet he respects you.”

Hmmmmmmm who could this be about???

This book is so amazing that I’m reading it in just two days. The main character is brave and believable, the love interest is tall-dark-and-handsome done right, and the world building is compelling.

My answers for today are quite varied, I don’t think I ever did one of these with three books from three different genres!

Do you review all of the books you read?

I want to at least review every novel I read but time is weird and my attention span is bullshit (as proved by my latest review The Gilded Wolves, a book I read in January)

Bloggers to follow

Someone who doesn’t have an attention span like mine is clearly BookWyrmKnits who has an organized list of all the books read and to read for July AND STILL FINDS TIME TO KNIT! Truly a hero of our time

Back to keeping up with stuff,, ChroniclesOfACreativeMess has a lovely post on how to build online relationships with other bloggers! All the tips are simple but efficient and I’ll be applying all of these. After all, these series started because I wanted to hype all the blogs I stumbled upon!

This week’s question:.

Would you or do you choose a book solely on the cover?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: I’m a shallow person that loves pretty things.

This doesn’t mean I won’t read a book with a cover I don’t like, it’s just that a pretty cover makes me want to know more about the story..

Bloggers to follow

Speaking of covers… this year has been a blessing for fantasy book covers and I wish I could buy them all.

Emma @EmmasChapter has a brand new Top 5 Wednesday on debut novels, and they all look amazing

Ara @FoldedBetweenThePagesOfBooks talks about what a fantasy book should have to become an Automatic Read (there’s a whole series on automatic reads for different genres!)

For those blogger out there looking to be judged by more people ElgeeWrites has a super helpful post about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This will help boost your content on Google and other search engines. We all wish we could yell loud enough so everyone would hear about the books we love, this is the next best thing.
