TTT·Progress is impossible without change

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Changes In My Reading Life

(Maybe you like different genres or topics, maybe you read faster than you used to, maybe you only like standalones now)

Everything changes, and our reading habits are not the exception, I’m still in love with high fantasy and YA contemporary romances but over time, especially this year, I’ve been reading further from my comfort zone and finding out new favorites.

For example:

I’ve found the lovely genre of adult fantasy (either urban, high, or historical), with TJ Klune and CL Polk, who are more free to explore topics such as sexuality and growing up and trauma in a way that, although YA does discuss them, it doesn’t in such a way.

I’m also reading some non fiction, which is shocking even to me. I wouldn’t say I’m a fan just yet but I am more open now than I was a year or even some months ago, thanks to the few titles I’ve read so far.

There’s been so many changes in my life as a whole and next year is gonna be absolutely crazy, I can’t wait to see how that reflects in my reading habits! I hope to see you all on the other side
