We made it!
I managed to write over 50,000 words in a month! And maybe you did too!
Even if you didn’t reach 50,000 you still did it! If you wrote anything during november then you did NaNo
For the last post on my NaNoWriMo series I decided to share a bit about my own project and its progress Continue reading “NaNoWriMo 2019 Wrap Up”
I’ve been tagged for this award by the fabulous Brittany @PerfectlyTolerable! She has a great blog and is a huge Jane Austen fan (she’s the reason I read Pride and Prejudice tbh)

I saw this meme back at :
What Are You Reading Wednesday was created by Rhianna, Marissa, and Kendall. The idea is to create a space for book lovers to share, discuss, and recommend the books they are currently reading and loving.
MY CURRENT READ
1. Why did you decide to pick up this book–cover or content?
Content! I read the Raven Cycle books a few years ago and really enjoyed it, Ronan was even my favorite character so the posibility of an entire trilogy just about him was too good to pass up.
2. Who is your favorite character so far, and why?
I knind of answered that above… But ignoring the main character?
I really love Declan, he truies so hard to be a serious and productive member of society, while keeping his family safe. And he fails so hard at all of that…
3. Will you finish this one?
I’m dealing with finals at the moment, which is the only reason I didn’t finish this in two days. By the end of the week I’ll be done with it
4. This book reminds me of…
In the sense that it’s whimsical and has different points of view that mix and separate along the story.
5. What type of read is this one? (Slow but interesting, cannot put it down…)
This is the kind of read that sucks you in and you don’t realise time is passing by as you read. You know the ones where you raise your head and suddenly it’s 3 am and you haven’t gone to bed yet.
By now we are all either too tired to compute OR too caffeinated to feel our fingers as they type but
Don’t give up!
That novel that may look terrible to you, or that looks like it will just never be done, is still your baby. And today I’m sharing with you NaNo Novels that became part of my favorites after (probably) making their author’s life hell all month long

Friday reads was invented by The Candid cover
It’s a book meme that mixes two already existing:
- Book Beginnings is a book meme hosted by Rose City Reader where participants share the first sentence (or so) of the book, along with initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.
- The Friday 56 is hosted by Freda’s Voice, and the rules are quite simple: Grab a book, any book, and turn to page 56 or 56% in your e-reader. Find any non-spoilery sentence(s) and post.
My Current read
This book is so delightfully weird! It has dreams and dreamers, an undreground blackmarket full of strange things and people, three brothers, and six girls who are actually just one split up.
I’m enjoying this even more than the original The Raven Cycle books (probably because Ronan’s always been my fave)
This is going to be a story about the Lynch borthers.
My favorite kind of story (and of brothers)
The Friday 56
“I don’t believe you,” he said out loud. “I have trust issues.”
Why is this so funny? Ronan doesn’t have an issue talking about his issues and I love him
We are quickly approaching the end of the year and you know what that means:
it’s time to choose the best of 2019, or at least start thinking about it
I probably won’t start drafting that particular post in a few weeks yet, but when you have a big platform and want to get your audience involved with the process you need to get the votes in early.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Changes In My Reading Life
(Maybe you like different genres or topics, maybe you read faster than you used to, maybe you only like standalones now)
Everything changes, and our reading habits are not the exception, I’m still in love with high fantasy and YA contemporary romances but over time, especially this year, I’ve been reading further from my comfort zone and finding out new favorites.

Can you believe we are already past the halfway point? I can’t. Usually, this is the part where stories get more complex and the plot holes stare into your soul, where all the hype of beginning your novel is gone and you have the (in my opinion harder) task of not giving up.
For this purpose is that today we’ll talk about pep talks offered on the NaNo website and self care for writers.
With special guest JK Rowling (
before she became the disappointment she is today)

Me? Reading another romance book about hockey players?? You know it
This one comes out next year but the author was kind enough to send me an ARC! And a teaser to share with all of you!
Recently traded to the newly formed Vermont Trailblazers, professional hockey player Roman Kinsey needs to focus on helping the team win games and filling the stands, not on the blond, bespectacled part-timer who works at the library he volunteers at. He knows all too well that outing himself equals heartache and ridicule…or worse.
Cody Evans, psych major and grad school hopeful, notices everything and thinks too much. But he doesn’t know what to think when he sees Roman reading to kids. The rugged hockey player just doesn’t look like the type. But it stirs something in him, something he’s never felt before.
When the library is threatened with closure, Cody enlists Roman’s help. As they get to know each other better…much, much better…they realize that they have more in common than books. But Roman’s keeping a big part of himself from his team, and giving in to his feelings for Cody might be more than he’s willing to risk.

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine which spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.
Listen, it doesn’t matter how far away these books are because I already love them and everyone else should be looking out for them too
I have seen heaven and it’s the Brooklyn Brujas matching covers! The WW cover was revealed this past week and IT’S SO PRETTY
That’s why it gets a WoW feature even though the release date it so far away
