TTT·Get out there

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

September 3:

Books I Enjoyed That Are Outside of My Comfort ZoneImagen relacionada

(i.e., a genre you don’t typically read or subject matter you’re not usually drawn to)

Let’s be honest nobody enjoys getting out of their comfort zone, that’s why it’s called that. However, sometimes there may be really good things happening out there and we deserve to experience them!

My reading comfort zone are YA books, generally fantasy but always fiction. These are all books I’ve read this year that don’t fit in that, let’s face it, quite wide variety::

Middle grade and horror? I honestly only bought it because I love the author, I never expected to love it so much and now I can’t wait to read the second book in the series.

Literally a self-help book, I had never in my life read one of these but I enjoyed it. The book was fun and actually encouraged me to make some changes in my routine!

Alright, this one is a fantasy book but it’s also historical fiction and mystery so it was still out of my comfort zone. It took me a while to read after I got it because of this but once I was immersed into the story I couldn’t put it down.

This is an Adult Romance novel, I don’t have anything against them but I’m not usually into this kinds of books (not really big on romance, usually) but I saw the pitch of a rivals-to-lovers goalie romance and I had to try it, and I’m so happy I did

I got an ARC of this one and wasn’t expecting much. I only requested it because I got curious about this whole “mindfulness” stuff and I have to say that it’s an interesting concept (especially for someone like me, who likes to yeet their mind out of their body when bored)

This one is similar to the previous one but it focuses more about travel itself, enjoying the moment without worrying about future plans or plane tickets or all the million things you have to think about while on the road-

Have any of you ventured out of the old comfort zone and found hidden gems? Are you looking into doing that but don’t know where to start?
