Naughty or nice? In May, because why not

I know this is supposed to be a Christmas tag but I don’t really care (?) I saw it at For the love of books blog and so I bring it to you all

This tag was originally created by Jenn at Jenniely

Questions:

1.) Received an ARC and not reviewed it

Most of my TBR is made up of ARCs that are awaiting my fleeting attention, I feel so guilty about that though

2.) Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley   ✓

Hahahaha, I don’t even want to look. Knowing me it’s less than 40%

3.) Rated a book on GoodReads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)  ❌

I know myself and so, I never promise reviews. I always try to do a little review the moment I mark the book as finished so that, when it comes the time to do a full-length review I can remember my feelings better.

4.) Folded down the page of a book  ❌

I don’t judge anyone who does this but I just really love to see my books as pristine as possible

5.) Accidentally spilled on a book  ✓

Nothing too bad, mind you. More than once I may have dropped some water while I was reading and once a coffee (the smell that left on the book was pretty nice though)

6.) DNF a book this year  ✓

Yeah, I’m not gonna name it because it wasn’t even a bad book, it’s just that the writing style and the pacing weren’t for me.

7.) Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it

Listen, I’ve bought a lot of books just because they were pretty but always meaning to read them later.

8.) Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework) ✓✓✓

Who hasn’t?? Like, every activity becomes 10000 times more enticing when you are meant to be doing something else.

9.) Skim read a book

Mostly for school, I had a lot of assigned reading and most of it wasn’t much fun so I just skimmed over the entire book. Now that I choose what to read I have the power to put down a book if I’m not really invested in it.

10.) Completely missed your GoodReads goal

giphy2Before I joined the reading community online I would completely forget GR was even a thing and so set a goal and then didn’t upload anything for the rest of the year

11.) Borrowed a book and not returned it

Never, and not because I’m super organized or anything like that, it’s just that I’d hate to lend a book and not having it back so I don’t do that to others either.

12.) Broke a book buying ban

This is another instance of I know myself too well, I just don’t go into book buying bans because I would totally fail them.

13.) Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about

**Looks at my review for Shadow and Bone**

14.) Wrote in a book you were reading

-See number 4-

15.) Finished a book and not added it to your GoodReads

Nah, I’m too in need of validation for this. Since I started reading more often I have the need to log everything on.

8 ticks

I think I’m… fine? Like, well in the middle a bit towards naughty but not enough. I’m nighty, nauce?
