I would give up the Internet TAG

I saw Nix do this tag at Drizzle and Hurricane books and the title shocked me. Why would anyone want to give up the internet? Well, let’s get to the questions so I can answer that::

book tag

During the post I talk about some of my favourite authors so if you are curious and want to check them out just click on their pictures and you’ll be taken to their goodreads page.

 1. I would give up the internet for a month for a signed first edition of this book

Without a second thought for a signed first edition of The Silmarillion

Can you even imagine how amazing that would be? It’d be a literary treasure.

I have a first Spanish edition, and that in itself is priceless, my grand father, who is a massive Tolkien fan, gave it to me a couple of years ago. The maps are really big and it has the full family trees for all the Middle Earth races.

It would take me at least a month to read it thoroughly anyway so I wouldn’t miss the internet all that much.EnjoyCanada Day!

2. I would give up pizza for a year if it meant I could sit next to this author on a long plane ride

Heidi Heilig, author of The Girl from everywhere and The Ship beyond time, her books spoke to me in such a profound way. I felt like I was reading my own experiences and feelings (except for the magic and time-traveling and sailing and pretty much all of it). I’d love to have a long and deep conversation with her about belonging and the meaning of home

and if I ran out of things to say (improbable) she could tell me funny stories of her son and his love for fans! You can see his shenanigans on her twitter

It is a perfect situationheidiheilig

3. I would sit through a thousand hours of commercials if it would ensure Hollywood made this book into a movie

Timekeeper and obviously with the sequel Chainbreaker (Review) and the next book Firestarter as well. Listen, I don’t even like movies but if you tell me I can see my babies Danny and Colton on the big screen for TWO HOURS then I’ll suffer however long I need to. THOUGH it’d need a really good director and actors and everything.

Love ina cup!

4. I would never read a new book again if it meant I could live inside this book

Patrick Rothfuss made the most appealing magical world for me. From his novels The name of the wind and A wise man’s fear and his novella The slow regard of silent things. The way to learn magic isn’t because you are born with it or something like someone gave it to you because you are worthy. It has a university where you study and can learn different schools of magic. There’s also fae and demons, it’s a world so vast that I can’t help myself and I end up re-reading every time I miss it.pat_banner_2000x

5. I would let my Google search history be made public if it meant I could be best friends with this author

I feel like Zoraida Córdova and I would click. She wrote, among others, Bruja born, for wich I have a review of the ARC. Her stories are beautiful and I could see myself in her characters, her books feel like magic in my own home. I just love her style and I think she’d make an amazing friend.931aa601-4c5b-409c-8cfe-b4e2a4ea73c7-bruja

6. I would donate everything I own to Goodwill if it meant I could date this book character in real life

… I’m too ace for this question… Let me rephrase it::

6. I would donate everything I own to Goodwill if it meant I could be BFFs with this book character in real life

(THAT’S BETTER) I would choose Alice from Let’s talk about love by Claire Kann (Review). She is such a sweetheart and she’s ace like me so she’d get why I changed the question to include her. She is such a passionate person and I’d love to rave with her about our favourite shows! Step Outin Style!

I hope you enjoyed the tag! As usual:

I tag everyone who wants to be tagged

If you thought this was fun then try it yourself! I had to do some thinking but I’m happy with all my choices, I especially liked the focus on the authors as well as the books, they are the ones who bring out the stories we all love after all
