WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

It’s basically to check in, see what I’m reading at real-time.

This month, in honor of Black History Month, I’m trying to read as many books by black authors as I can. Although all the books I’m reading I was planning on reading before the challenge, the only difference is that now I have an excuse to read them all one after the other.

You can check out the Diversity challenge I’m doing in an effort of reading more diversely

As usual, click on the covers to go to the books’ GR page

The Three Ws are:

  • What are you currently reading?

  • What did you recently finish reading?

  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

23197837The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton

It’s kind of slow, I’m still at 20% and it’s been a week since I started it. The writing is really beautiful and flowery so maybe that’s why it’s taking me some time. I’m not too sure if I like the main character yet, seems kind of selfcentered but that’s probably because she was sent by the Goddess of beauty herself to rid the world from ugliness so I can’t really hold it against her.

I plan on reading it completely but lately I’ve seen some reviews that I didn’t like and now I’m not too sure. Still, I’ll try and finish it so that I can give my own thoughts on it.

What did you recently finish reading?24974996

I finished a master piece by the name of Dear Martin by Nic Stone And I absolutely loved it. The story was gripping and the pace was on point. It was hard to put it down and I was at the edge of my seat the whole time

What do you think you’ll read next?

31625039Let’s talk about love by Claire Kann

I’ve seen great reviews on this book, the cover is amazing, and this particular one has an asexual MC so there’s no way I wasn’t reading it. Have you seen the little sentence on the cover?

Alice is about to ace this whole dating thing.

I has a pun on the cover, what else do you need?
